Bespoke Stretchers Built to Support.

Handmade in our Somerset workshop to the highest museum standards.

Our stretchers provide the perfect foundation for your artwork — built for liners, restorers and museums, using joinery-grade timber and traditional joinery techniques perfected over two decades.

Precision. Stability. Longevity.

The right support
for every artwork.

A well-made stretcher is essential to the stability and longevity of a painting. We have made bespoke stretchers for over twenty years in our studio workshop, perfecting our designs from old traditional stretchers and the stretcher makers who came before us.

Each stretcher is carefully crafted to suit the artwork — for liners, restorers and museums — using joinery-grade timber and hardwood pegs (keys) made from chestnut or ash.
